Capital City Biathlon Final Reminder

Hey all,
Final reminder about the May 13th Capital City Biathlon taking place at Lake Springfield Beach House.

Don’t worry we only use the Beach House for staging, there is no swim to the biathlon.

There is a closed lake road run of 3.1 miles and a rolling, rural bike of 15 miles to test your mettle.

New this year are the gender specific shirts, handmade ceramic Overall Awards, new Age Group awards and awards for the fastest run and bike splits by gender.

And all who enter get custom, aero, race specific socks that are very cool. Made to make you go faster.

And Matt from Wheelfast Bike Co. has provided a custom water bottle for all racers. Matt will be onsite race day morning for any last minute fixes or needs but please plan ahead so he doesn’t get buried.

We have Hawk on sound and announcements to get you fired up and pizza, fruit and other stuff after you finish to top off the glycogen and keep you hydrated.

While shirts have been ordered we do have a limited supply of extras and they will go fast on a first come, first serve basis.

On line registration will end on Thursday night at midnight but we will take walk ups at Friday packet pickup at the Beach House from 4-7 and on race day morning.

And the best news of all will be the weather. After 4 days of wet and cold for the YMCA Kids tri and Abe’s and Pioneer it looks like warm and sunny for race day.

Of course we state that very quietly so the Tri gods and weather gods keep smiling on us.

Please visit www.triharderpromotions.com for all the details and registration link.

Remember to bring the cameras to get a FINISH photo at the most impressive photo backdrop to commemorate your accomplishment.

Looking forward to Tri Harder’s first year of management and based on April’s record tri turnout we hope to set a new record for the Biathlon.

Many thanks to Bill Stokes and Bob Thompson for all their years of hosting and the smooth hand off to THP.
