Tri Talk 101

Hello Endurance Athletes,

As part of the Time to Tri Initiative Tri Smarter and Dr. Gensler from Petersburg Family Chiropractic will be hosting a Triathlon Talk 101 on April 2nd at 6:30pm at the office located at 115 E. Douglas in Petersburg Il. 62675.

The Tri Talk will cover all the basic information for anyone interested in entering their first triathlon and those who want to learn more about triathlon.

Topics will include an overview of all the various Tri distances, Tri terminology, Equipment Needs, Training Plans, the Swim, Bike, Run, Health, Nutrition and any questions you may have about Triathlons.

This will be an opportunity for you to get into Triathlons on a fast track with a Ironman 70.3 World Champion and USAT Certified Race Director who started his Tri journey 13 years ago from a Try the Tri event similar to the upcoming Abe’s Mini Triathlon.

From this talk it is quite possible to enter and complete your first event being the Abe’s Mini or the Pioneer Sprint Triathlon being held on April 21st at PORTA High School.

There is a free training plan on the www.triharderpromotions.com website under the Abe’s or Pioneer race heading that you can review and begin using before the talk to help get into the sport and generate questions you may not realized you had about this incredible sport.

There is no charge for the Tri Talk but registration will be limited to 20 people, of any age or athletic ability. You just need to want to Tri.

By attending the talk you will be provided with a 10% off discount code that can be applied to either April 21st event.

Please register at 217-632-7599 so we can plan ahead and have enough refreshments for all future triathletes.

Thanks to our friends at West of Wise Winery we will have some samples on hand to try and fruit punch and other drinks for everyone in attendance.

If you would like to attend the event but not quite ready to enter into the April 21st events we can discuss the upcoming May 19th Capital City Biathlon (run & bike, no swim) or the June 16th Stovepipe Sprint or Railsplitter Olympic Triathlons being held at Lake Petersburg.
