Top Reasons to Race July 26th Triathlons

Greetings Prospective Racers,
We have seen that you are considering registering for the July 26th triathlons and wanted to let you know about developments that have occurred in the last few weeks that may make the decision easier.

The courses are in great shape. The Swim through the bridge arches is epic and very unique. The roads are in good shape for the bike. Westlake drive is 90 % shade and will be closed off for the race.

Thanks to the artistry of Dave Cox we have directional signs that should be in the Louvre. If you get lost, you tried to get lost.

We have new color coded Turn Around signs that will make your race much easier to navigate and of course the color coded 9 foot tall balloons and arrows on the roads

We have numerous lifeguards on the swim, 2 police boats, 1 fire dept boat and the local dive team on course for your comfort and safety

We have a new FINIS practice swim area for you to get wet and lose the pre-race nerves staffed by a lifeguard

There is a fire dept. medical team on the bike course and there is a bathroom on the bike course that can be used for all distance races

The doctors from SIU will be on site for your comfort and safety

The awards are all new this year for each race. I don’t want to give away the surprises but they are very unique and functional.

Post race food and drinks will be provided by HyVee and Westwoods Lodge and are very tasty with pizza, fruit, cookies and pasta salad.

Thanks to Friendly Chevrolet there will be free sno cones for all

Thanks to Aaron Crowder of the AC Crowder Co. we literally have a ton of ice to keep you cool

Abe will be on sight to hand out awards and for photo ops.

We will have 2 USAT officials on the courses to ensure a fair and safe race for all.

The Chiles Team has once again donated his moving truck to make life easier for all the volunteers and please understand the life of a volunteer is not easy. SO THANK A VOLUNTEER and the POLICE

The crew from Grim Reaper Fitness will be on site racing and volunteering and taking home some hardware. Talk to them if you want to set up a local training plan

R&M Cyclery will be on site in the am to fix any last minute bike issues that may pop up

We have the historic Beach House again this year which is air conditioned

Sally Drake and crew from Swim, Bike Run of St. Louis will be on site for all your last minute triathlon needs. Talk to Sally about any tri related questions you may have. She is very knowledgeable and loves to talk tri

We have lead cars from Friendly Chevrolet on the courses to show you the way

We have a sag truck on the course with a mechanic from Swim, Bike, Run to help with on course bike issues

We have water stops on the bike with plenty of water for those long rides

Now all we need is you but if you want a shirt for your size and gender you must sign up before 11:59pm on Sunday the 20th to be guaranteed a shirt
