Iron Cowboy & the 16th Ironman

Many thanks to everyone that came out to support James Lawrence the “Iron Cowboy” on his quest to complete 50 Ironman distance events in 50 days in 50 states.

With assistance from Dave Quinn, the 2.4 mile swim was flawless.  Ken Minor, Tom Clark, Tony Maier and many others pulled and road with James throughout 112 mile bike.  Many runners showed up and ran the 2.1 mile loop around Lincolns New Salem State Historic Site with Stephen Pacca, Sierra O’Connor, Eric Ferrell, Mike Gensler.  Dr. Mike not only ran with James, he was provided medical care and Amy Fanter provided medical care and massage therapy for a body that needed some work.

Jame’s attitude is amazing and his upbeat personality made it a honor to be part of his quest and Guinness World Record.

If anyone can achieve this goal, it will be the “Iron cowboy”.   All our best and best of luck in setting your record while promoting awareness of childhood obesity.
