April 30th Abe’s Mini and Pioneer Sprint – Latest Updates

Greetings all,

I hope your training is going well and everyone is healthy for the new season.

Plans and trends are going great for the April 30 Abe’s Mini and Pioneer Sprint Triathlons.

As of today, sign ups are 40% higher than last year in the Mini and 20% higher than last year in the Sprint.

Obviously very good news for the 10th Anniversary of these events, which serve as fund raisers for the PORTA pool and the local teams, groups and rescue squad.

A sincere “Thank you” from me, the Race Director, and from all the groups you help by racing with us.

The big news for our racers include: new race logos for the shirts, new technical gender specific race shirts, new awards, the opportunity to tri with Abe Lincoln and photos with Abe after your event in front of the incredible new photo backdrop we have for the coveted Finisher Photos to document your acheivement, a historic run (for sprinters) thru the cemetery where Ann Rutledge is buried, 10 year anniversary socks you get for racing, the commemorative bibs for all racers, Hammer products on the course and in your bags, on-site chiropractic adjustments and massages, a warm, clear pool, on course medical support from Memorial Sportscare, pizza and of course, 10th anniversary cake and Prairie Farms Chocolate milk for all.

And, the most important thing for all racers is that this is a USAT Sanctioned event managed by a USAT Certified Race Director and assisted by a soon-to-be USAT Race Director.

So, by our June events you will have the incredblby rare opportunity to race under 2 USAT Certified RD’s who have dedicated their time and energy to learn from the Best in the Tri Industry and apply that knowledge to your events.

Our goal for your race has always been to make them safe, challenging and enjoyable for all racers of all abilities.
