A Good Day for Triathlon – Saturday

Hello Triathletes,

All is set for the June 17th Stovepipe Sprint & Railsplitter Olympic Triathlons at Lake Petersburg.

Weather looks good with a little heat to contend with but we are ready with gallons of fluids, Hammer Nutrition products, cold wet cloths on the course, tons of ice and chilled watermelons at the Finish.

The lake board replaced the boat ramp for us so it’s a very nice exit out of the water and the bike and run courses look good.

There are custom socks for all entrants and the Olympic racers get a 2017 Finisher Medal.

All entrants get a custom swim cap, bib and technical gender specific race shirts and food and drinks at the Finish.

The Tri Club Olympic Award is laser engraved and looks great and our potter Kirby has hand thrown ceramic mugs for your awards.

Please thank New Salem Lincoln League for their support on the awards.

Bottom line, we are ready to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the events you help start with a very good day of Triathlon and CAKE for all at the Finish.

Thanks to Prairie Farms you can wash down that chocolate or vanilla cake with ice cold chocolate milk, the ultimate recovery drink.

And since it’s a celebration we have asked Abe to race so keep an eye out for Mr. Lincoln competing in his First Triathlon.  Abe is fast, honest.

The water temp is 78 degrees today so you can wear a wetsuit but not be eligible for awards so keep an eye on website for temps as we keep monitoring.

We will be accepting race entries at Friday packet pickup and early on race day.
