The Goals of Endurance Athletes

Dear Racers,

Please accept a sincere thanks to all of you for making the 2017 Triathlon season our best ever.

We set many records and helped many of you achieve your goals.

I am now asking you to help me achieve my goal of eradicating Multiple Sclerosis through MS Global.

To help achieve this goal I am contacting you before my MS Global Campaign soon ends.

Please take a moment to read the information below which explains the campaign and it’s purpose.

In July, I had the pleasure of meeting Tyler Hamilton and Gene Caffrey while riding Vail Pass.

It was quite the honor to meet and ride with a professional Cyclist and Gold Medal Olympian, and an Ironman Triathlete who is still biking at a Tour De France level but unfortunately has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

This chance encounter resulted in two new friends, a white knuckle ride down the mountain and the chance to help fight the battle against MS through our endurance events.

In September, I will participate in the MS Global charitable bike tour.  This event has been produced annually since 2003 to support the fight against Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This year will mark the 4th consecutive year that MS Global has supported Can Do Multiple Sclerosis (Can Do MS) – an organization that is close to my heart.

Can Do MS is dedicated to improving the lives of those living with MS. Nearly 30,000 people experienced Can Do MS’s transformational health and wellness programs on exercise, nutrition, symptom management and motivation last year. Each and every participant received these programs entirely free of charge.

In 2017, their in-person programs will double.  You can learn more about this incredible organization at

I am asking my friends and family to support me in my fundraising efforts and reach my goal of $4,000.

To support this journey, please visit my personal fundraising web page:

Thanks to rider registration fees, you can be assured that 100% of your contributions support The MS Global Scholarships at Can Do MS, and this funding will be used to provide full scholarships to people with MS.

For instance a scholarship donation of:

  • $2,500 sponsors a CAN DO® Program student (4-day program)
  • $1,000 sponsors a TAKE CHARGE® Program student (2-day program)
  • $100 sponsors a JUMPSTART® Program student (1-day program)

Thank you for considering my request, taking the time to read about Can Do MS, and my fundraiser.

We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.

Thank you,

Steve – USAT & RRCA Certified Race Director for local triathlons, biathlons & trail/cemetery runs
