Water Temp and USAT Rules

As stated the latest water temp was 79 degrees.
USAT rules state that competitors may wear wetsuits if the water temperature is 78 degrees or lower. USAT rules also state that if the water temperature is between 78.1 – 83.9 degrees, competitors may wear wetsuits but will not be eligible for awards.
The post last night had a typo we wanted to clarify.
If the temp falls to 78 or lower yes you will be able to wear suits and be eligible for USAT points and race day awards.
Sorry for the confusion but great catch by our astute triathletes.
Think COOL. We want all swimmers in wetsuits.
Should have another temp today and will post asap.
We suggest you bring your wetsuits for Saturdays races.
The official temp will be taken race day at 6am and posted that day.
