Run for L;fe 5K & 10K

The Inaugural Run for L;fe 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run will take place on Nov. 2nd.

The courses are amazing and show off all areas of Weldon Springs while using the major trails including Lakeside, Schoolhouse Trail, Salt Creek Backpack Trail, Whitetail Ski Trail and the Old Farm Trail.

Sites include the Weldon Springs Display, the Lakeside Trail, Union School, Salt Creek Backpack sites, dam crossing, Veterans Point, the Chautauqua Picnic Area and the Old Farm Trail with Historic Cemetery and Structures.

This event will be huge not only for its cause but the site as well.

Unfortunately, suicide has become more prevalent in our society and its hard to find anyone whose own life has been touched suicide.

This event hopes to raise awareness and provide needed training and intervention to stop this trend.

Proceeds from the event will be utilized by local educators to help identify and treat this alarming trend in the local teen population.

Come Run for L;fe at Weldon Springs celebrating your life and those who have passed while you pass the trails remembering those who we miss.
